RODNEY D. FAIR, OD, FAAO

Dr. Rod Fair grew up in Brighton, attended Hastings College in Nebraska and the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, California. After graduating in 1982 Dr. Fair attended the State University of New York in New York City for a residency in pediatric vision and vision therapy.

Dr. Fair is active in the community being a member of the Kiwanis Club, the Chamber of Commerce and the First Presbyterian Church. He is a past president of the Colorado Optometric Association. He has received the Young Optometrist of the year award, the Optometrist of the year award, the Distinguished Optometrist award and for the 1990's was named Optometrist of the decade.

Dr. Fair is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry in which only 10% of optometrists have qualified for membership. An extensive course of case report writing and passing an examination is required for membership. The goal of the Academy of Optometry is to promote excellence and life long learning.

He is a member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development and has an interest in children's vision and vision and learning, ocular disease treatment and contact lenses.

Dr. Rod enjoys skiing, gardening, reading, woodworking, the theater and spending time with his wife Monica and children Grant and Katrina.



RON G. FAIR, OD, FAAO

Dr. Ron Fair attended Penn State University and graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr. Fair entered practice in Brighton in 1959 after serving as a Doctor of Optometry in the United States Army.

He has served in many volunteer activities professionally and in the community. He is a Rotarian and is active in the Zion Lutheran Church in Brighton and helped organize building Habitat for Humanity Homes.

Dr. Ron is a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry, a past president of the Colorado Optometric Association, past president of the American Optometric Association, and past president of the National Academies of Practice.

Dr. Fair has an interest in general optometry, contact lenses, bifocal contact lenses, and prescribing devices for the visually impaired.

His passion when not practicing optometry is fly fishing on Colorado's beautiful trout streams with his wife Patty.
